Job Description:

• Showing up to duties on time and take proper over from previous duty doctor.
• Receiving patients from OPD/ER on admission.
• Proper history taking, filling admission papers, following admission orders.
• Informing consultants of admitted patients.
• Preparing pre-op patients for Surgery, informing consultants, anesthetist and OT
• Sending labs, scheduling radiological procedures, follow-up of reports. Interpreting reports and informing consultant of any abnormalities.
• Carrying out bedside procedures such as catheterization under aseptic measures, pass NG and pleural tap advised by Consultant and allowed by CMO.
• Conducting daily rounds in duty ward and documenting those rounds in the form of progress notes.
• Dealing with patients active complaints & documenting accordingly.
• Conducting rounds with consultants, documenting rounds, ensuring round orders are carried out.
• Keeping consultants informed about patient’s condition and following any orders given on phone/round
• Maintaining medication charts up to date. Entering medication on Treatment sheets with proper routes, dosages and interval.
• Counseling patients/attendant about procedure/treatment as advised by Consultant.
• Deal with acute medical emergencies without creating panic & informing seniors accordingly
• Maintaining good communication with nursing staff
• Making discharges on time with proper discharge notes and discharge medication.
• Following all policies of Hospital and Department in true letter and spirit.

Requirements:

• Minimum Education: MBBS
• Shift: Alternate: Nights
• Job Location: Old Dhoraji Colony, Karachi
• Experience: 03 plus years of relevant experience
• Salary Range: Based on Experience
